Canada Geese and Snow Goose
Branta canadensis
Chen caerulescens
The mid-October arrivals perusing the
pickleweed. Note the single Snow Goose to the left and the large
Canada Goose just above. This large bird seems to be the dominate
bird of the flock. Alert and vigilant, the rest of the group seems
to follow its lead. The single Snow Goose with the flock is
interesting. One wonders what turn of events has led to the presence
of the Snow Goose.
